Next to Discord, it’s almost invisible.

GGspeak was built from scratch just for voice. In a call, it uses up to 25 MB of memory.

Discord runs a whole browser under the hood. In normal use, it reaches 1 GB. Above 4 GB, Discord restarts itself.

Each square is 5 MB of RAM. With GGspeak, only the green ones come out of your game.

Why it’s so light

No built-in browser. The app was built from scratch just for voice, and the whole window fits in less memory than a single browser tab.

What it changes in your game

More RAM and CPU left for the game. GGspeak sits in the tray, doesn’t fight over your graphics card and doesn’t stutter when the match loads.

One installer, no fuss

One file, nothing bundled. The first time, Windows may show a warning; after that, GGspeak updates itself.

Your ping, always on screen.

Your voice goes straight to the server in São Paulo, no middlemen. And your ping stays on screen the whole time, next to your name, so you don’t have to take our word for it.

The path of your voice: from your PC straight to the server in São Paulo, and from there to your squad.

What’s next.

None of this exists yet. It’s here so you know what to expect.

  • Signed Mac app with screen sharing

The Mac already has a test release at ggspeak.app/en/download. Apple’s signature and screen sharing come next.

  • Mobile app

GGspeak on your phone, to hop into the call and talk to your squad wherever you are.

  • Servers around the world

Servers outside Brazil, for low ping wherever you play.

Before you download.

Is it free?

Yes. Voice, chat, moderation and 720p screen sharing stay free, with the same voice and the same ping, with or without a plan. There are optional paid plans: GG+, which is yours, and boosts, which level up your community’s HQ. SoundGG is a one-time purchase, or comes with GG+. Pricing is at ggspeak.app/en/pricing and the rules are in the new Terms of Use (in Portuguese), at ggspeak.app/termos.

How do I install it?

Download the installer and open it: GGspeak goes into the Start menu and updates itself. It doesn’t have a digital signature yet, so the first time Windows may show a warning: click "More info" and "Run anyway".

Is there a Linux or Mac version?

Linux, yes: download the AppImage (Ubuntu 22.04 or newer, Debian 12, Fedora, Mint and more), mark it as executable and open it; it updates itself. On Linux you can share and watch screens too. The Mac has a test release, still without Apple’s signature and without screen sharing. Everything is at ggspeak.app/en/download.

Is it in English?

Yes. The app follows your system language, and you can change it in Settings, General, Language. For now, the Terms of Use and the Privacy Policy are only in Portuguese.

Why does it ask for my email?

So you can sign in without a password. You type your email and get a link: click it or type the 6-digit code that comes with it. To create an account, GGspeak only asks for an email and a nickname; a profile picture is optional. No phone number, no ID and no voice recording.

Where are the servers?

In São Paulo, Brazil, our only region for now. Your ping depends on how far you are from there, and the app shows your number at all times: far from South America, expect more than a local server would give you. All voice goes through the server, encrypted in transit, and nobody sees anyone’s IP. The server only forwards the packets: it doesn’t record or mix the audio.

Does it work with the game in full screen?

Yes. Push-to-talk and the mute and deafen shortcuts are global: they work with the game in focus, even in full screen. Compact mode tucks the app into a corner of your second screen.

Does it have screen sharing?

Yes, on Windows and Linux: anyone in the channel can show their screen without leaving the call, with their PC’s sound, at 720p (1080p with GG+ or the community’s HQ) and for up to 10 viewers. You can switch what you’re sharing without stopping, and viewers can keep the stream in a mini-player on top of their game. On Linux, streams go out at 720p for now; on the Mac, not yet.

Call your squad.

Download, sign in with your email, send the link. In a minute everyone’s in the channel.
